ince ancient times astrology has been used to predict events and provide insight into peoples lives. In modern times it has evolved into a tool for understanding ourselves and our relationships and for timing our response to the challenges and opportunities that we meet on our journey through life.
A look ahead
July is a quietish month with Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto all retrograde, or moving backwards; but August opens with a New Moon and solar eclipse in Leo that builds to a Full Moon and lunar eclipse in Aquarius on 16 August. This is a period when another path may open up for us, one that we might not see at other times.
This is also the quarter when first Jupiter, then Pluto change direction, both to go forwards. Jupiter has been travelling backwards since May, giving us an opportunity to consolidate the gains made since it entered Capricorn last December; now we can proceed with the next stage of the ‘business plan’. Pluto, meanwhile, is on its way out of Sagittarius, ending a cycle that began in 1995. Towards the end of November it re–enters Capricorn, so we have just under five months to tie up loose ends before moving on to new things.
On 29 August Mercury moves into Libra, there to stay until early November, due to going retrograde from 24 September. For most of that month it will be losing speed, so keep the channels of communication open and clear, to avoid any misunderstandings.
