April, May and June 2009

W

ith Venus in fellow Fire sign, Aries since early February you’ve been on a journey of one kind or another on which you may have had to make a detour, perhaps to sort something out with a partner, but from the second half of April you’re facing the direction of travel again. Mars joining Venus brings new energy and enthusiasm to the project.

Mercury’s entry into compatible Gemini on 1 May would normally help to speed you on your way, but the planet of communication goes retrograde (backwards) a few days later, indicating that you may need to rethink your position. With Saturn at a standstill on the 17th it’s also important to pay attention to finances, with a view to going forwards from where you were last year.

Activity in opposite sign, Aquarius is at its height on 29 May and 15 June, when Neptune and Jupiter respectively come to a standstill. You may find yourself very caught up with a particular group of people at this time and to a certain extent you may have to go along with them, but it’s likely to be an experience you enjoy.

Throughout June Mars at the top of your solar chart urges you to get stuck in on both the career and domestic front: persistence and determination will win the day.

January, February and March 2009

T

here’s a huge emphasis on opposite sign, Aquarius this quarter, with the arrival of Jupiter there on 6 January, there to stay for the next year. Mercury moves into Aquarius on 1 January, not to depart until 8 March; Mars arrives on 5 February; Neptune is already there and of course at this time of year so is the Sun, from 20 January.

What does all this add up to? A focus on partnerships of all kinds and for all reasons — personal, financial and spiritual. This is something you’re likely to find yourself doing a deal of thinking about this quarter, but you may not come to any definite conclusions until later on in February. The period between the New Moon/solar eclipse on 26 January and the Full Moon/lunar eclipse in your sign on 9 February challenges you to look at things from the point of view of other people and to take them into consideration when making your plans.

Venus in fellow Fire sign, Aries keeps you company from 3 February onwards; whatever journey you may find yourself on you’re assured of fellow–travellers who share your enthusiasm for the quest.

Meanwhile Saturn moving backwards through the money sector of your solar chart is an indication to consolidate your financial position, while at the same time being open to the idea of new arrangements; likewise Pluto traversing your work sector is a sign that in the coming years patterns that no longer serve you may have to change.

October, November and December 2008

M

ercury going forwards in compatible Libra from 15 October gives the green light to a financial transaction that may have been stalled since the beginning of September. You’re on your way. Meanwhile Mars’ sojourn at the bottom of your solar chart through October and into November sees action on the home front; you may find yourself receiving visitors from abroad.

Partnerships are emphasised in November, as Neptune goes forwards in opposite sign, Aquarius followed suit by Uranus, marking a turning–point after several months when it may have felt as if you were treading water. Change is in the air although it may take a while for it to filter through.

Pluto’s re–entry into Capricorn at the end of the month also spells change at work and in your everyday routine: in the years to come you may find yourself doing something completely different. But Jupiter’s influence here means there are many opportunities around to expand your sphere of operations.

Mars moving on to fellow Fire sign, Sagittarius on 16 November lends wings to the urge to pursue a dream, a vision or simply the object of your desire, whatever — or whoever — that may be. But with Saturn slowing down throughout December it’s not all play and no work by any means, although of course the more you put in, the more you get out.

July, August, September 2008

Y

ou have a reputation for being one of the zodiac’s big spenders, but Saturn currently traversing the money sector of your solar chart may be curbing your style somewhat. But from 1 July Mars gives a boost to your bank balance, helped in August by Venus’s ability to attract funds and the inventive ideas of Mercury.

The crux of this quarter is the period between the New Moon/solar eclipse in your sign on 1 August and the Full Moon/lunar eclipse in opposite sign, Aquarius on 16 August. You’re likely to gain deep insights into both your career and relationships, with important consequences for the path you take in life.

The shift of Mars, followed by Venus and Mercury into compatible Libra puts the emphasis on getting out and about from 19 August onwards. Your social life’s likely to step up a pace and you may find yourself collaborating with someone on a project on which activity reaches an intense pitch around 24 September.

This is the last quarter that Pluto spends in fellow Fire sign, Sagittarius, ending a period that has seen you free to develop your creative potential in ways that are likely to have taken you on a very personal journey. From the next quarter onwards you’ll be called upon to apply all that you have learned.

April, May, June 2008

W

ith an emphasis on fellow Fire sign, Aries, April is a month when you’re likely to be fired up with ideas for projects and plans. With the Full Moon on the 20th may come a sense of accomplishment at what you’ve actually achieved.

On 3 May Saturn goes forwards in the money sector of your solar chart, a cue to proceed with the next stage of the master business plan; by now the foundations should be securely in place. Mercury’s entry into compatible Gemini on the same day introduces a busy period for networking and negotiation. Then on 10 May it’s welcome to Mars arriving in your sign, giving you a confidence and energy boost for the rest of this quarter. This will help you to keep a grip of the reins if you feel that things may be slipping out of control in a relationship.

On 14 June Pluto slides back into Sagittarius, marking an opportunity over the next five months to complete unfinished business of a personal kind. It may be a project with which you’re very much identified, it may be a relationship: the Full Moon four days later is likely to make clear what you need to do, in order to move on to the next thing.

January, February and March 2008

M

ercury toing and froing in opposite sign, Aquarius puts relationships, both personal and business, on the agenda for much of this quarter. Between 28 January and 18 February someone you haven’t seen for a while may come back into your life; while Neptune in this sector of your solar chart long term keeps a personal situation fluid, particularly if you were born 12–17 August.

Mars in compatible Gemini throughout January and February may lead you to revisit the place you were in last September, which may give you food for thought from 4 March onwards, when you continue the journey; while Pluto’s entry into Capricorn on 26 January spells change in your daily routine, perhaps a change of job or a new health regime. Jupiter also in this sign throughout 2008 means there are opportunities around to go in a new direction.

With Saturn travelling backwards this quarter, you may wish to carry out a thorough review of your finances, keeping yourself open to the prospect of pairing up with new business partners.

The New Moon/solar eclipse on 7 February emphasises the importance of a partner or fellow–traveller on the path you’re currently on; while the Full Moon/lunar eclipse on 21 February helps you to appreciate the contribution that significant others make to your financial stability.

October, November and December 2007

Y

ou may be an outgoing Fire sign but there’s quite an internal focus to this quarter for you. Mercury’s toing and froing at the bottom of your solar chart and Mars is doing the same in Cancer. On one level you may find yourself busy on the domestic front and more in touch than usual with family both near and far; on another you may find yourself on a spiritual journey of some kind. It’s rethink time and you may wish to retreat to contemplate where you’re going and why.

On 31 October Neptune goes forwards in opposite sign, Aquarius: those of you born around 12–15 August in particular can begin to move on from where you found yourself at the end of May, especially where a relationship or group of people is concerned.

While Saturn is now no longer in your sign, its move to Virgo puts your finances under scrutiny. Over the next three years or so it will pay you to put your house in order, so that you know where you stand.

The New Moon on 24 November is your cue to make some kind of new personal start; while the New Moon on 9 December in fellow Fire sign, Sagittarius has you firing on all cylinders.

July, August, September 2007

Y

ou may feel as though you’re treading water but from 10 July the signal turns to green. When Mercury enters your sign on 4 August you’ll be aware of the pace really picking up.

This quarter’s remarkable for Venus spending from 9 August until 7 October in your sign, looking back over her shoulder until 8 September. What does this mean for you? Well, you may wish to give yourself some kind of makeover, with a view perhaps to improving your professional image. Another person may be instrumental in helping you to do this.

It’s also likely to be a very social period, particularly with Mars energising this sector of your solar chart from early August onwards. On 12 August there’s a five planet line–up in your sign, including a New Moon: the launch pad for your personal new year. You’ll be in your element, so pursue what — or who — is dearest to your heart.

You’ll have cause to celebrate on 3 September, when Saturn at last departs your sign, where it has been since July 2005. But if you look back you’ll see just what it’s enabled you to accomplish. Meanwhile the Full Moon in fellow Fire sign, Aries on 26 September encourages you to look to the future and what may be.

April, May and June 2007

W

ith Jupiter and Saturn, both in fellow Fire signs, changing direction, April is an important month for you. On the one hand you’ll be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel — in five months’ time Saturn departs your sign — on the other, you arrive at a high point on a personal journey you began last November. So you’re in a unique position to look back at the way you’ve come and forward to where you hope to go.

On 15 May Mars enters Aries, making a triangle of fire in the heavens, spurring you on to scale new heights or plumb new depths until the end of June. Later in the month Neptune comes to a standstill in opposite sign, Aquarius, marking a moment to balance reality with illusion, fact with fantasy. Go with the flow and yield to the opinions of others, rather than dig your heels in and insist on your own way.

Mercury’s two–month sojourn (June and July) in one of the hidden sectors of your solar chart is likely to unearth things you may not have thought of for a while, but it’s all the better to help you to move on next quarter.

On 5 June Venus sails into your sign: you’ll be flavour of the next six weeks and generally create a favourable impression, particularly on those who matter.

January, February and March 2007

Y

ou sail into the new year with the strong following wind of Mars, Jupiter and Pluto all in fellow Fire sign, Sagittarius at your back. This is good news for pursuing something that’s very much your own, something that will take you onwards and upwards.

For much of this quarter you’re going to be preoccupied with relationships, as Mercury tos and fros over this sector of your solar chart. There may be something to sort out between you and a significant other, perhaps financial in nature, but it’s important to get clear about it. By the end of March this will be behind you.

With Saturn retrograde (travelling backwards) in your sign, you have a chance to assimilate lessons you’ve learned about both yourself and the key people in your life. Next quarter you move on, to the final stage of a period that has seen you put important building–blocks in place for a whole new cycle of personal and professional growth. The Full Moon in your sign on 2 February will heighten your awareness of your obligations to both yourself and others: while the new Moon in opposite sign, Aquarius on 17 February is your cue to put your relationships on the best possible new footing.

October, November, December 2006

T

his is a pretty packed quarter for you, with an emphasis on relationships of all kinds. Being one of the fixed signs, you like stability and certainty, but throughout October as Neptune slows to a standstill, you may not be sure where you stand vis—à—vis a significant other. At the same time you may find yourself challenged on both an inner and outer level, as the planets congregate in Scorpio. Mars at home in this sign makes for action on the domestic front into early December.

One way or the other you move on from a relationship in November, as it’s the turn of Uranus to go forwards. A few days later Jupiter arrives in fellow Fire sign, Sagittarius, opening up opportunities for you to meet all kinds of new people. All this change and toing and froing may be unsettling but it’s also exciting. Life will certainly not be dull this quarter!

On 6 December Saturn goes into reverse. For those of you born towards the end of your sign, it’s a crunch point, when you may have to make a decision about whether to continue with something or not. While hosting Saturn since July 2005 has forced you to face reality in both your personal and professional life, this time next year the taskmaster of the zodiac will have gone on its way. You’ll be able to look back and see just what it’s done for you.

July, August, September 2006

W

ith expansive Jupiter at a standstill, early July may find you with something to celebrate. If so, you may throw a party at yours — for friends, family and anyone who happens to be passing. As Mercury is also stationary, it will give you a chance to catch up with people you may not have seen for a while.

Due to its going retrograde or backwards, Mercury isn’t due to leave your sign until towards the end of August. During this period you may want to take some time to reexamine your goals: where are you going and what will it cost to get there? Saturn is in your sign for another year yet and requires you to set new priorities in terms of work and relationships in particular.

With first Mars, then Venus passing through your sign, July and August find you at your most charismatic and charming — take note those of you who are single and looking. The New Moon in your sign on 25 July could be your cue to begin a new relationship.

Two days earlier Mars leaves your sign for Virgo, soon to be followed by Mercury and Venus. This puts finances firmly at the top of the agenda and is your chance to get them sorted.

On 4 September Pluto comes to a standstill in fellow Fire sign, Sagittarius: for those of you born 16–18 August in particular, this is tremendously empowering. Onwards and upwards.

April, May and June 2006

I

f you’re not quite your usual flamboyant self as this quarter opens, blame it on Saturn, as it comes to a standstill in your sign. This is particularly true if you were born late July/early August. The good news is that the taskmaster of the zodiac is going forwards, which means that you, too, may proceed with a project you got so far and no further with last November. Ultimately, of course, the project of Saturn in Leo is to work on the self, stripping it down to the core essentials necessary to accomplish its purpose in life.

For much of this quarter you may find yourself on an inner or spiritual journey, which may mean that you’re not in the limelight quite as much as you like to be. But you come into your own when Mars enters your sign on 4 June. You have an affinity with this fiery planet, and its energy and confidence will give you a boost well into July. This is the time to push forward on all fronts; you’ll be pretty hard to gainsay.
Relationships may continue alternately to baffle and surprise you, particularly around 22 May and 19 June. But it’s all part of a long–term pattern of change, opening you up to new experiences with some strange and wonderful people.

January, February and March 2006

Y

ou like to be centre stage and with so much planetary activity in the fixed signs — of which you are one — this quarter, you are certainly that. With Saturn in your sign you may find that you can direct much of the action that
plays out around you, although it will take work and resolve on your part. But being a leader comes naturally to you and what we put out, we tend to get back: Saturn is just in its rewards, even if they are a long time coming.

Normally you’re very sure of yourself, but with Neptune in your opposite sign, Aquarius you may find yourself wondering if you’re on the right track in a relationship. You’ll fare best if you feel your way rather than take anything for granted.

Meanwhile Mars at the top of your solar chart and Jupiter at the bottom indicate things are opening up for you on both the home and career front, allowing you to spread your wings and be yourself in ways that you may not even have considered. You’ll get a feel for all this between 29 January and 13 February when the New and Full Moon trigger activity in the fixed signs.

Pluto continues to empower you from fellow Fire sign, Sagittarius, particularly towards the end of March, when its influence is very strong, especially for those of you born 18–20 August.

October, November and December 2005

I

t’s all happening this quarter as Jupiter’s move into Scorpio completes the cross of planets in the fixed signs, of which you are one. Saturn in your own sign, Neptune in your opposite, Mars toing and froing at the top of your solar chart, Jupiter in residence at the bottom — you’re active on all fronts, at home, at work and in your relationships. Those of you born late July/beginning of August may find yourselves at full stretch around 22 November, while those of you born 6—11 August may be beguiled by a dream (or a dreamer) around 26 October.

The New Moon of 2 November is a signal to seize the energies of the moment and make a brave and confident new beginning, with repercussions for your career and status that should be apparent by the Full Moon on 16 November.

For much of this quarter you’re likely to find yourself on an inner journey, but from early December you’re ready to face the world again, the stronger for the discoveries about yourself that you’ve made.

You are known for your strength, your courage and your determination and this quarter you’ll have ample opportunity to show the stuff of which you’re made.

July, August, September 2005

Y

ou really do come into your own this quarter, not just because your birthday falls within it, but also because of certain planetary activity. On 16 July Saturn enters your sign where it will stay until early September 2007; 12 days later Mars moves to the top of your solar chart. Neptune is already in your opposite sign, Aquarius and in October Jupiter takes up residence in Scorpio. The cross in the skies is reflected in your own chart. What does it mean?

That’s precisely what you’ll be thinking about in July and August, when Mercury to and fros in your sign. Where are you going and why? What will it take to get there? You’re likely to find yourself weighing practical considerations with long–term goals. Certainly you’re entering a very important period of your life where, by dint of hard work and a determination verging on the stubborn, you can go a long way towards realising your ideals.

The New Moon on 5 August represents a particularly important beginning for you, being in your sign and triggering a number of other planets. The Full Moon on 19 August shines a light on the path that lies before you; at the same time someone may appear to guide you along it.

April, May, June 2005

T

here’s quite an emphasis on travel for you of one kind or another in this second quarter of 2005. Around 5 June preparations for a trip abroad, especially one that’s been long in the planning and one you’ve been looking forward to, may be at their height. Such a trip is likely to open up new possibilities for you, new ways of being. Even if you’re not actually physically on the move, then a course of study or a writing project you’re engaged with could have a similar effect.

Relationships is another big item on the agenda. Uranus and Neptune continue to put strange and wonderful experiences your way; interesting people may pop up in your life and then just as suddenly disappear; while an established partnership may take a course you hadn’t bargained for. Dates to watch are 19 May and 14 June. One thing’s for sure: with Mars zipping through this sector of your solar ‘scope, you can expect plenty of action on the relationship front.

On 12 June Mars arrives in fellow Fire sign, Aries, where it will remain until the end of July; together with Pluto in the other Fire sign, Sagittarius, there’ll be no stopping you from embarking on a personal quest with the ultimate aim of being the person you truly want to be.

January, February and March 2005

2005 opens on a very optimistic note for you: the fun and games sector of your solar chart is stacked with planets, expansive Jupiter’s in compatible Libra and idealistic Neptune continues to wend its way through your opposite sign, Aquarius. All this spells a lively social life and meaningful encounters with others, but it’s also a highly creative time for you, when you should find it easier to live and be in a way that you feel is truly you. The Full Moon in your sign on 25 January will cast light on where you’re headed, while the New Moon in Aquarius on 8 February points to new beginnings in relationships.

The emphasis on quest and adventure continues into March with the arrival of Mercury in fellow Fire sign, Aries for a stay of two months. This is a time to explore new territory, in the broadest sense, through travel, study or writing; what you discover could make a difference to where you ultimately want to go.

Towards the very end of March Pluto comes to a standstill, empowering those of you born 16–18 August in particular to make the changes you feel are necessary for continued growth and progress. These may have been in the pipeline for a while, but the moment’s now come to do something about them.

October, November, December 2004

Y

ou sail into this quarter buoyed up by the array of planets in airy Libra. It’s very much a time for you to be out and about, exchanging news and views with different people and enjoying to the full a social life that promises to be particularly diverse in the next 12 months.

Towards the end of October you may find yourself at a turning point in your life, when it will be important for you to distinguish what’s really going on from what you imagine is going on. Someone you know may play a key role at this time and what they say could either inspire or beguile you.

For much of this quarter you’re likely to find yourself on something of a quest—for knowledge, new ways of being, new ways of expressing yourself and so on. This restlessness will be at its height at the very end of November and again around 20 December, when you can go forwards with whatever it is you find to be true for you.

You’ll be in your element in the second half of December, when first Venus, then Mars, enters fellow Fire sign, Sagittarius, helping to make for a fun–filled festive season.

July, August, September 2004

T

he opening of the third quarter of 2004 finds you firing on all cylinders, as action planet Mars charges through your sign. In early August Mars marches into Virgo, directing your energy and attention to your bank balance. With Mercury also moving backwards and forwards between these two signs, you’re motivated to make changes to your financial arrangements so that they work better for you in the future.

It’s not just your finances that are up for revision. You may look at your friends and partners with the same critical eye. If one or two should fall by the wayside, don’t worry – Venus in your sign for most of September will compensate by helping to make you irresistible to others.

31 July and 16 August are dates to note: the Full Moon in your opposite sign, Aquarius may shed light on what’s going on between you and a significant other, while the New Moon in your sign is your cue to make a fresh start.

On 25 September expansive Jupiter moves into compatible Libra, where it will remain until the following October. In between you can expect plenty of what you like best — fun, fun and more fun. Enjoy yourself.

April, May, June 2004

Y

ou’re one of the fixed signs — so–called because you tend not to like change – but you may well find yourself on the move, one way or another, as this quarter opens. Mercury backtracks in fellow Fire sign, Aries for most of April, urging you to rethink plans you made in March. From the end of the month you’ll be able to forge ahead with them.

With Venus and Mars keeping each other company in Gemini, April is also a very social month, which will suit you just fine, as you’re a party animal. On a more pragmatic note, it’s also good for networking; you’re likely to meet people who can help you to further your aims in life.

May opens with a Full Moon and lunar eclipse on the 4th, of particular significance to those of you born 6–8 August. It’s a cue for change that even you cannot ignore, whether at home, at work or in your relationships. Off with the old and on with the new.

On 17 May, when both Venus and Neptune start going backwards, you may feel a little giddy with the social whirl. Ground yourself and then you’ll get a sense of what’s really going in your relationships.

It’s lift–off on 23 June, when Mars enters your sign. It’s there for the next couple of months, your cue to take the world by storm.

January, February, March 2004

Y

ou’re got a following wind at the start of 2004, with both Mars and Mercury in your fellow Fire signs, Aries and Sagittarius. On the one hand pastures new are there for you to explore; on the other you may revisit old haunts. A desire for new experiences is likely to motivate you throughout January.

However with Mercury re–entering the sober sign of Capricorn in mid–January and Jupiter retracing its steps in Virgo during this quarter, it will pay you to attend to more mundane matters — the state of your finances, the state of your health and so on. The body is the temple of the spirit and needs to be kept in good repair.

Meanwhile the re–entry of Uranus into Pisces and Neptune continuing to wend its way through your opposite sign, Aquarius, ensure that relationships remain on the agenda. Those of you with birthdays 3–8 August in particular may find yourselves under someone’s spell, while those of you in a relationship may find yourselves getting restless with the status quo.

In March Pluto lends power to the ambitions of those of you with birthdays 14–16 August, while Saturn slowly moving forwards in Cancer is a reminder to persevere with work of a more self–sacrificing, though no less important, nature.
