elcome to your personal new year, which began with the Sun going into your sign at 21:30 GMT on 22 September 2009.

Change is on the horizon, as those of you born at the very beginning of your sign are no doubt aware. Perhaps it’s already showing up in your most personal relationships, but what manifests on the outer tends to reflect what’s happening on the inner, so this is a good time to look within. Maybe a therapist or coach could help here, particularly as you like to talk things over with someone else.

A cycle of your life is coming to an end: the arrival of Saturn in your sign on 30 October marks a point at which you may find yourself in some sense having to break from the past. But it’s all the better to prepare for what’s coming in and 2010 may see you embarking on an exciting new project or relationship.

Action planet Mars at the top of your solar chart since 26 August continues to give a boost to career ambitions and finances until well into October; while with communication planet, Mercury going forwards on 29 September, the light is set to green for a project or relationship you got so far and no further with at the beginning of the month.

Meanwhile with both Jupiter and Neptune currently occupying the love sector of your chart, single—and—looking Librans in particular are likely to have been spoilt for choice in this department. The trend continues!

The New Moon on 18 October is the only one of the year that falls in your sign. This is the moment to put out for a wish or a dream that you’d like to come true in your personal new year.

April, May and June 2009

f you have a September birthday then as this quarter opens you may find yourself facing challenges on the home and family front. Perhaps these are driven by changes taking place within you, for external events very often mirror what’s going on internally. But over the next five months you’ll have a chance to process what’s happening and to prepare yourself for what’s coming next.

Yours is above all the sign of relationships and there’s a lot of activity in your opposite sign, Aries this quarter. Venus has been there since early February, suggesting that you’ve been reviewing where you stand vis–à–vis a significant other; on 17 April you come to a point where you’re able to see the way ahead. Mars joining Venus from 23 April helps you/partner to move on.

Double–check your arrangements if you’re setting out on a journey of some kind at the beginning of May: the planet of communications/transport goes into reverse from the 7th to the 30th. But at the same time you may get the opportunity to catch up with friends and family.

With both Neptune and Jupiter going backwards in fellow Air sign, Aquarius on 29 May and 15 June respectively, the enjoyment you get from a personal project or relationship is at a peak. There’s also the excitement of change in the air. More next quarter.

January, February and March 2009

here are two distinct and different planetary energies operating on your solar chart as the new year begins. On the one hand the Sun, Mars and Pluto all in Capricorn put a heavy emphasis on home and family, where you may already have a feel for changes that may be some way off yet. In part these may reflect what’s going on with you internally, in part they may be a response to circumstances over which you may not have much control.

On the other hand, Jupiter, Mercury, Mars, Neptune and from 20 January the Sun, all in fellow Air sign, Aquarius show that this is a time of expansion, in your relationships and life generally. Over the coming year there’ll be opportunities to travel, to develop ideas with people going in the same direction, and if you’re single and romantically inclined, to seek that special person without whom no Libran feels complete.

Speaking of which, your ruling planet, Venus spends four months in opposite sign, Aries — from 3 February to 5 June — due to going retrograde (backwards) between 6 March and 16 April. Someone with whom you form a partnership, whether personal or business, is likely to play a significant role in your life this quarter. To a certain extent you may find yourself following their lead but in the process you may learn much about yourself.

October, November and December 2008

s this quarter opens Mercury is journeying backwards in your sign, having entered it at the end of August. It finally leaves Libra on 4 November, a period of more than two months when you may have found yourself toing and froing in a relationship. But from 15 October you’re likely to have more of a sense of where you’re going with it.

Mars resident in the money sector of your solar chart well into November gives a boost to your/a partner’s efforts to earn more of the stuff. During this time you may get a new venture off the ground. With both Neptune and Uranus going forwards again, November’s also a month that may have a surprise or two in store for you on the romantic front.

On 27 November Pluto returns to the bottom of your solar chart: those of you born at the very beginning of your sign are likely already to be aware of the need for change, on both the inner and outer level. But Jupiter’s presence here until the end of the year will help to guide you in the right direction.

The Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars all moving into this sector of your chart before the end of the year places an emphasis on the importance of home and family as the year draws to a close.

July, August, September 2008

hroughout July and August you may find yourself hard at work behind the scenes, although that may not be apparent to others. Not until later in August anyway, when you’re likely to have something to show for your efforts. You may also find yourself more involved with family than usual.

From 19 August onwards you’re at the centre of the action, well–placed to put forward your ideas and take the initiative, whether on the financial or relationship front. Altogether Mercury spends just over two months in your sign; a period when you’re likely to be very busy with more than one project on the go. This is also a time when you’re likely to find yourself travelling, in one sense or another.

Around 8/9 September you may find yourself caught up in a whirlwind of activity, with opportunities to advance on both the inner and outer level. In a couple of months or so those of you born towards the end of September will find yourselves going forward from where you were earlier in the year.

The New Moon on 29th September, being the only one of the year to fall in your sign, marks the beginning of your personal new year. Begin as you mean to go on.

April, May, June 2008

ith such an emphasis on opposite sign, Aries throughout April, partners will play a key part in helping you to push ahead both on the career front and at home. As early as the 20th you should have something solid to show for your efforts.

Mercury breezing into fellow Air sign, Gemini on 3 May (until 10 July) quickens the pace and lightens things up. You may take a long–haul trip (or two) during this period, or find that a project takes up a lot of your time, particularly between 26 May and 19 June. With Neptune in the other Air sign, Aquarius coming to a standstill, you’re creatively inspired and romantically inclined.

Meanwhile on some level you may be aware that a cycle of your life is slowly but surely coming to an end, and that it’s important to finish up anything that you don’t want to carry over, although that won’t be for a couple of years yet.

From 10 May for the rest of this quarter Mars in compatible Leo gives your ambitions, whether social or professional, a boost; while from the vantage point of the Full Moon on 18 June you can see how far you’ve come and what it will take to get where you want to go.

January, February and March 2008

luto’s entry into Capricorn on 26 January is of particular interest to you, as you’re also one of the cardinal signs. As this powerful planet builds up to its standstill on 2 April, you’ll get a taste of the changes in store for you. These are likely to impinge on every area of your life, but they may also be driven by an inner desire to do something different. With Jupiter also in Capricorn for the whole of 2008, opportunities abound for growth and expansion.

In the short term there’s much fun to be had as Mercury tos and fros in fellow Air sign, Aquarius. This may be with a like–minded soul or due to a project that stimulates your mind. Your ruling planet Venus’ entry into Aquarius just before Mercury goes forwards on 19 February gives a boost to a relationship, whether new or existing; while Mars in the other Air sign, Gemini keeps you physically and mentally on the go, perhaps by way of preparation for an important career move, something you may have got so far and no further with last quarter.

The dynamic Full Moon in your sign on 21 March will cast light on where you’re headed; seeds you’ve sown this quarter will come to fruition later in the year and beyond.

October, November and December 2007

ctober of course is your birthday month and the New Moon on the 11th marks the beginning of your personal new year. But as this quarter opens you may find yourself dealing with unfinished business from the end of September. From 2 November, though, you’re facing the direction of travel again.

From 8 November to 5 December Venus graces your sign, smoothing your path in love and in life; with Neptune and Uranus also going forwards this quarter, those of you born 11–16 October in particular may find yourselves looking through rose–coloured spectacles.

Action planet Mars dominates your solar chart all quarter. This marks an important period in your career, when you/a partner can really make an impact. Around 15 November you may find yourself pulling out all the stops, and after that consolidating the gains you’ve made. The journey continues next year.

Around 19 December domestic concerns top the agenda. This is when Saturn comes to a standstill and Jupiter takes up residence at the bottom of your solar chart. Over the following year you may extend your home in some way or make it in more than one place.

You like to choose your moment but this is a quarter when you’ll find yourself galvanised into action on several fronts simultaneously.

part from a brief dip into Virgo from 15 July to 8 August Venus, the planet that rules your sign, spends most of this quarter in compatible Leo, in backwards mode from 9 August. What does this mean for you? Hark back to the end of June for a clue. What happened then may need to be revisited before you can move on. But it would be surprising if it did not involve a relationship with a significant other. By the time Venus faces forwards again from 8 September you’re likely to have reassessed the partnership, from a financial as well as a personal point of view.

Meanwhile as this quarter opens you may find yourself backtracking in some sense, but it’s all the better to go forwards from 10 July. You’ll certainly find yourself on the move in August, with Mars spurring you on from fellow Air sign, Gemini and Jupiter facing the direction of travel. Not just literally, but in the sense of making progress towards your goals, whether they be social or professional. The New Moon in Leo on 12 August is an optimum moment to begin anew, whether at work or in a relationship; while the New Moon and lunar eclipse on 26 September in opposite sign, Aries marks an important turning point in both.

April, May and June 2007

ou’re borne into the second quarter of this year on a Full Moon in your sign, which puts a relationship — with a partner, colleague or lover — in the spotlight. A new phase begins on 17 April with the New Moon in opposite sign, Aries. With your ruling planet, Venus also in fellow Air sign, Gemini from 12 April to 7 May, the accent is on making new alliances, especially ones of mutual benefit.

On 15 May Mars arrives in Aries, which could be the starting signal for you and a partner to get something new off the ground. On the 25th Neptune comes to a standstill in the other Air sign, Aquarius, a moment of heightened sensitivity for you, when you’re likely to be especially open to romantic yearnings or creative inspiration.

Venus at the top of your solar chart from 8 May to 5 June wins you friends and favours; while Mercury’s toing and froing here from the end of May to the beginning of August steps up the pace at work. You’re likely to find yourself making more trips than usual; you may also find yourself travelling in an inner as well as an outer sense.

Venus’s entry into Leo on 6 June brings a shine to your social life for the rest of this quarter, while the Full Moon on the 30th may shed light on something of a more private nature.

January, February and March 2007

ith both Jupiter and Saturn in compatible signs, you have these two particular gods on your side. Jupiter continues to open up new worlds for you — socially, educationally and in terms of trips you’re making both at home and abroad. Meanwhile Saturn gives you a chance this quarter to review your aims and objectives. It’s important to have certain people on board.

Venus joining Neptune in fellow Air sign, Aquarius brightens up your romantic life in January; while Mars keeps you active on the domestic front until the end of February. Your sign is all to do with relationships and this quarter it’s relationships with colleagues that are emphasised. You may find yourself travelling with them in one sense or another: perhaps literally, perhaps in the sense of working together on a special project. However in one particular instance the relationship may amount to more than just a working one.

On 21 February Venus enters opposite sign, Aries, followed five days later by the arrival of Mars in Aquarius: a relationship may enter a new phase or someone new may come along. This will also give a spur to your creativity and to ideas for boosting your income.

You’re on a journey of one kind or another and in March in particular you’re likely to get flashes of insight into where you’re headed. Key dates in this respect are 3, 19 and 31 March.

October, November, December 2006

ith Venus playing catch—up with Mars in your sign, you’re at your most charismatic and charming as this quarter opens. Neptune’s idealistic influence is also strong, inclining you to see loved ones in particular through rose—tinted glasses. For the artists among you, this is also a time of creative inspiration. But towards the end of October as the planets pile up in Scorpio, the emphasis shifts from relationships to finance and property. It’s a time of consolidation, of making sure all the i’s are dotted and the t’s crossed in agreements with partners or others.

In November the emphasis shifts once again, as Jupiter moves on to compatible Sagittarius. This will fire you up with ideas — for projects, courses, trips — anything that opens up new vistas for you. With Pluto already there and Mars arriving on 6 December, you can look forward to travelling in one sense or another for the rest of this quarter and into next year.

At the same time Saturn’s standstill in early December reminds you of the importance of having a solid base from which to venture forth. This is something you’ve probably been working hard to build in both an inner and outer sense for more than a year now. This time next year you’ll be able to see just how much you’ve achieved.

July, August, September 2006

he second half of the year opens on an expansive note for you. There may be lots going on around you and with Jupiter positioning itself to go forwards, you’re likely to feel pretty confident about things in general.

You’re very much a social animal and with so much activity in compatible Leo, the emphasis is on friends, groups with which you’re associated and in the longer term, on a more serious note, goals, both inner and outer. In early July you may find yourself retracing your steps, but that may be because you’ve overlooked something, which needs to be put in place before you can proceed from the end of the month onwards.

As first Mars, then the Sun and Mercury and finally Venus shift into Virgo you’re likely to seek a quieter life, which may mean you spend more time with family or by yourself. It’s a good time to reflect on the year that’s passing and the one that begins for you with the entry of the Sun into your sign on 23 September.

Having things work in harmony is very important to you and if you feel your mundane life is squeezing out the spiritual, the New Moons on 23 August and 22 September will give you an opportunity to redress the balance.

April, May and June 2006

ith Saturn in compatible Leo, you’re likely to have been working hard since last July towards some inner or outer goal, perhaps in the context of a group in which you play a leading part; now, at the beginning of this quarter, you’ve covered enough ground to proceed to the next phase of this ongoing project.

This is a period when the interplay between work and whatever you do for fun or relaxation makes for a creative, fulfilling time: the one feeds into the other, so that you enjoy a constant stream of fresh and innovative ideas. Particularly towards the end of May and June, inspiration is likely to be at a height. This applies equally to romantic liaisons, for the single, footloose and fancy–free among you.

For most of May your ruling planet, Venus is in opposite sign, Aries and for most of June in the other sign she rules, Taurus. During this period you’re likely to be very involved with significant others, on all levels: from cooperating with them in some joint enterprise to really getting down to the nitty–gritty of your relationship.

ith Venus, the planet that rules your sign, spending so long a spell in Capricorn — from 5 November 2005 to 5 March 2006 — home and family are likely to occupy a dominant place in your life. By the end of this quarter new structures will be in place on which you can build for the future.

By the time Venus moves on to Aquarius (joining Neptune), Mars will have moved into Gemini. With such an emphasis on fellow Air signs, March will have a lighter feel to it; it will seem easier to get out and meet people. There’s a sparkle to your social life and much enjoyment is to be had simply from being in touch with other people.

Mercury’s entry into Pisces (where it joins Uranus) on 9 February ushers in a hectic period on the work front that will take you well into the next quarter. Between 2 and 25 March your normal routine may be subject to some surprising twists and turns that will keep you on your toes. Bend with the wind and your bank balance may be the unexpected beneficiary.

The New Moon/solar eclipse on 29 March is particularly significant for you because it falls in your opposite sign, Aries. Thisis a time for you to begin very much as you mean to go on.

October, November and December 2005

he accent’s on matters financial as this quarter opens, with Mars in one of the money sectors of your chart and, from 26 October, Jupiter in the other. You may find yourself spending much of this quarter endeavouring to reach agreement with a partner over whatever you hold in common, but Jupiter promises an increase in income and even, over the next 13 months, a move to a bigger home.

There’s plenty going on socially, too. But there’s more to all the socialising you’re doing than meets the eye. A group you’re involved with is teaching you a lot about yourself and what you learn around 22 November in particular could prove to be immensely valuable. Meanwhile Uranus lends an unpredictable quality to work that can make even the most routine of tasks seem exciting.

On 5 November Venus, the planet that rules your sign, moves into Capricorn, which it will not move on from until March 2006. This is a period during which you may make significant improvements to your home, or build an important relationship.

ver the last couple of years or so you’ve had to work very hard to maintain your position in the world. This period comes to an end on 16 July, when Saturn departs Cancer for compatible Leo. Then until September 2007, your work lies with groups, and through your involvement with a particular group, you’re likely to learn a lot about yourself. What is your function within the group? What do you get from it and what does it get from you? These are questions you may find yourself asking — and digging deep within yourself for the answers — particularly between 23 July and 16 August.

Throughout July and August you’re likely to be on the move and in the course of your travels you may meet people you haven’t seen for a while; it’s a pleasantly social time. Meanwhile the period between the New Moon on 6 July and the Full Moon on 21 July is an important one for initiating action on all fronts; a partner may play a key role in what happens at this time.

On 28 July Mars enters Taurus for a prolonged stay. The energy you invest in partnership finances between then and February 2006 could literally pay off for you.

Four days later Mercury goes forwards, also in Aries, and so will you, on a path you first set foot on at the beginning of March. By the middle of May you’re likely to have got a lot of things straight with the other people in your life.

ou roll into this quarter on a tide of energy, with the Sun, Mercury, Mars and Jupiter all in Libra. It really is a spectacular line–up, not least because Jupiter, planet of growth and opportunity visits your sign only once every 12 years. It’s there until October 2005, so a year of expansion—in your career, relationships and life generally—lies ahead of you.

This will no doubt go some way towards offsetting the influence of Saturn, currently bearing down on those of you with birthdays 17 — 21 October. In early November you may find yourself called to perform above and beyond the call of duty, but at the same time a window opens for a breakthrough in your personal or professional life.

The New Moon on 14 October is doubly significant for you: not only is it in your sign, but it’s also a solar eclipse. It culminates in a Full Moon and lunar eclipse on 28 October, which is likely to represent a turning point in one particular relationship.

uly promises to be a very social month, with both Mercury and Mars in outgoing, sociable Leo. You’re unlikely to lack for stimulating company, whether you choose to be with a significant other or with a group of friends. With your ruling planet, Venus not due to leave fellow Air sign, Gemini until early August, some of these may well be from cultures and countries other than your own.

Towards the end of July Mercury moves on to Virgo, which it dips in and out of for the rest of this quarter. Perhaps you, too, may find yourself dipping in and out of subjects you don’t normally study, such as aspects of the spiritual. If so, you’re likely to benefit most from an approach that combines the analytical with the intuitive.

While you continue to have to work very hard to maintain your position at the top of the career ladder, particularly if you were born 7–20 October – blame Saturn in Cancer – the arrival of Jupiter in your sign from 25 September marks the beginning of a whole new cycle of growth and opportunity. Make the most of it – it will be another 12 years before it’s your turn to host the planet of good fortune again.

The picture will become clearer from the end of April, when Mercury starts going forwards again.

Meanwhile your ruling planet, Venus breezes into fellow Air sign, Gemini, on 3 April and dallies there until the beginning of August. This could well put one particular partnership on the map for you. To commit to it or not? In true Libran style, you’ll probably vacillate. But then what’s the rush to make a decision? ith weighty Saturn continuing to trudge through the career sector of your solar chart, you really do have to pull out all the stops to keep on top at work. However it will be worth it in the long term. This is particularly true for those of you with birthdays at the end of September/beginning of October. Early March is a pressure point, but Saturn goes forward from then and so will you, from a stronger position.

You’re known as the peacemaker of the zodiac, but you’re no pushover as partners who challenge you in January may find out. You continue to be on your mettle into February, when Mars leaves your opposite sign, Aries, only for Venus to enter it. This is likely to bring out the combative side of your nature, so woe betide anyone who gets in your way: you’ll stand ready to do battle.

Meanwhile with Jupiter backtracking through Virgo and Neptune winding through Aquarius, you’re very open at this time to worlds other than the mundane. So however busy you find yourself in the real world, make time for meditation or some other pursuit that will allow you to turn within, away from the madding crowd.
