elcome to your personal new year, which began with the Sun going into your sign at 04:30 GMT on 22 November.

With action planet, Mars in fellow Fire sign, Leo (since 17 October) you’re very much in your element. It’s likely you’ve embarked on a journey of some kind, maybe a course of study, that’s firing you up with enthusiasm. Take note, however, that Mars retraces its steps from 20 December — and so may you in some sense, although it’s all the better to go forwards from 9 March 2010.

Looking further ahead, on 28 May 2010, Uranus enters the other Fire sign, Aries (you, of course, are the third) which may bring an exciting new person into your life, although not necessarily the most stable. A few weeks later this unpredictable planet retreats back into Pisces, but you’ll have got a taste of new and interesting things to come (think March 2011).

Talking of Pisces, your ruling planet, Jupiter enters this sign on 13 January, which may bring with it a desire to extend your house in some way or even move over the following year. You may also find yourself attracted to some kind of inner work that similarly expands your horizons.

Meanwhile mighty Pluto continues its passage through the money sector of your solar chart, encouraging you to look at new ways of earning income and put your finances on a completely new footing.

You’re the optimist of the zodiac and with the New Moon on 16 November, the only one of the year that falls in your sign, you can look forward with confidence to the new and exciting developments that await you in life, love and art.

April, May and June 2009

ou go forwards with a project or a relationship to which there may have been more than one twist and turn but in the process you may well have discovered something about yourself. Mars joining Venus in fellow Fire sign, Aries helps to speed you on your way from 23 April.

There’s quite a focus on relationships of one kind or another throughout May and June. Mercury tos and fros in opposite sign, Gemini, an indication that flexibility will be key in dealing with both partners and co–workers. Patience tends not to be your strong suit but it’s likely to be rewarded by a better understanding of where others are coming from, with the result that you can both move on from 1 June.

With Saturn going forward at the top of your solar chart, around 17 May is likely to be a time when your professional responsibilities weigh heavy on you, but you are facing the direction of travel. And with Neptune going backwards on 29 May and Jupiter following suit on 15 June, there’s plenty going on around you to keep you both stimulated and amused.

Uranus strong at the bottom of your chart is a sign that as this quarter draws to a close you may increasingly find that you’re driven by an inner restlessness for which you seek some form of outer expression.

January, February and March 2009

ou can look forward this quarter to the arrival of your ruling planet, Jupiter in compatible Aquarius on 6 January. This bodes well all year for travel, study and connecting to others who share your views. With Mercury here as well, Mars (from 5 February) and of course Neptune (long term), what more do you need to get writing, teaching and generally broadcasting to the world at large?

Meanwhile Mars in the money sector of your solar chart throughout January may have you kicking off the new year determined to get on top of your finances. Planet of transformation, Pluto resident here too is a sign that in the coming years they’re likely to undergo a complete overhaul.

You may find balancing your professional responsibilities with the need to maintain a stable home environment a continuing challenge, but the trick is to find your way on to the middle of the seesaw, so that one does not outweigh the other.

You can also look forward to the arrival of Venus in fellow Fire sign, Aries on 3 February. There the goddess of love and relationships dallies until 5 June, due to retracing her steps from 6 March to 17 April. What gifts will she bring you? A hot romance, new playmates? Certainly fun, that’s for sure.

October, November and December 2008

his is the quarter that Pluto finally leaves your sign, which it first entered in January 1995, a period during which you’re likely to have seen great change in your life. On 27 November this powerful planet moves on to Capricorn, where it joins your ruler, Jupiter, currently strewing opportunities in your path to better your financial situation.

Meanwhile Mercury going forwards in compatible Libra from 15 October’s good news for something you’ve been working on that may have taken longer than you bargained for; now the end’s in sight.

Venus’ entry into your sign four days later heralds a gradual shift of the inner planets into Sagittarius; note particularly action planet Mars’ arrival on 16 November, charging you up until the end of the year. It’s a period to go after what — or who — you hold dear.

Put another ring round 27 November on your calendar, as that’s also when a New Moon falls in your sign, along with Mercury and Mars, truly a moment to launch yourself forwards into the future.

This is also a quarter when you may find yourself balancing the need to accommodate changes in your personal life with responsibilities you’ve taken on at work. As usual your free–wheeling adaptability will help you to juggle more than one ball simultaneously.

July, August, September 2008

or the first half of this quarter the emphasis tends to be on your career or business. With Saturn holding sway at the top of your solar chart, you may have your work cut out, but the rewards will be proportionate to the effort you put in. Mars gives you a boost of energy throughout July and well into August.

From 19 August when Mars moves on to compatible Libra, shortly to be joined by Venus and Mercury, it’s your social life that gets a lift. But this is also a time when you can advance a cause that you personally hold dear. You may also embark on a project with a partner or colleague to which there’s more than you envisaged, but at the very least that’s likely to prove thought–provoking.

The beginning of September is a significant moment for you. On the 8th your ruling planet, Jupiter goes forwards again, the signal to proceed with the next stage of the business or life plan (the two may well go together). The next day Pluto also goes forwards, on the way finally out of your sign: in just over two months’ time you can say goodbye to a cycle that began in 1995 and that has seen great changes in your life.

The period between the New Moon on 30 August and the Full Moon on 15 September will give you some pointers to what lies ahead.

April, May, June 2008

s this quarter opens Pluto about–turns, on its way back into your sign which it re–enters 14 June: those of you born at the very end of Sagittarius have a last chance to finish up a cycle that began in 1995. Meanwhile Jupiter brings opportunities to better your financial prospects; from 9 May you’ll be able to consolidate the gains you’ve made.

Saturn going forwards at the top of your solar chart from 3 May may keep the pressure on, but if you do the work, you’ll reap the rewards. With Mercury going into opposite sign, Gemini on the same day, a variety of projects will keep you on the go for the next couple of months. Someone may also come back into your life — the reason? You’ll find out between 26 May and 19 June.

Mars in fellow Fire sign, Leo gives a boost to your energy and self–confidence from 10 May onwards, when you may find yourself travelling in one sense or another. It may also kindle a romance or fire you up to get something of your own under way.

A partner or partners may come on board after the New Moon on 3 June; while the Full Moon in your sign on 18 June puts you in a unique position to weigh up the past with the future and plan the best way forward.

January, February and March 2008

t last — Pluto leaves your sign on 26 January, marking the end of an epoch. Over the last 12 years you’ve undergone deep personal change, no doubt reflected in your relationships and career. Now Pluto moves on to Capricorn and the money/property sector of your solar chart; what happens in the build–up to its standstill on 2 April will give you a foretaste of the material changes that lie in store. But with Jupiter here too throughout 2008, prospects look good for an increase in money–earning potential.

Meanwhile Saturn up at the top of your solar chart keeps your nose to the grindstone; the work you put in now will bear fruit later in the year; while Uranus in the opposite place keeps the challenge of the new constantly before you.

You like to keep on the move and you certainly will be this quarter, with Mercury toing and froing in compatible Aquarius. You may well find yourself making more trips than usual but also you’re mentally very alert. You may want to put your ideas into form, or partner up with someone to realise them in some other way. This is particularly true between 7 and 21 February.

The New Moon on 7 March marks the beginning of a personal journey, on the inner as well as the outer level.

October, November and December 2007

s this quarter opens you may find yourself deeply embroiled in a project or a relationship that’s turned out to be more complicated than you thought. But from 1 December you’re in the clear.

Meanwhile Venus’s return to the top of your solar chart gives you the green light to proceed with something that may have been on hold since the end of July. Saturn’s arrival in Virgo also means that you may find yourself shouldering heavy professional responsibilities for the next two plus years, but at the same time this is a period when you can really make your mark.

There’s a particular emphasis on finances this quarter: it’s important to get to the bottom of a partnership and establish what belongs to whom; and from 19 December Jupiter’s presence in the money sector of your chart ushers in a year of growth: there’ll be opportunities to expand financially, professionally and socially.

Around 24 November when Uranus goes forwards at the bottom of your solar chart something may happen that points you to the future, particularly if you were born 6–12 December.

On 9 December the New Moon in your sign together with Mercury, Jupiter and Pluto describes a moment that is truly yours; a launch pad for what lies ahead.

July, August, September 2007

n early June you began a journey — we could be talking about a project or a relationship, or perhaps something you’re collaborating on with someone else — which you may think is coming to an end. But you would be wrong. From the end of July and particularly from 9 August to 8 September you’re likely to find yourself retracing your steps. You’ll have to wait until next quarter to reach your final destination. But you’ll enjoy the adventure.

Mars in opposite sign, Gemini from 7 August stirs things up on the relationship front: someone new may enter your life. With Jupiter going direct in your sign the same day there’s much to look forward to, with opportunities to expand in all directions. The New Moon in fellow Fire sign, Leo on 12 August, on excellent terms with both Jupiter and Pluto adds to the sense that this is a golden moment; while with the Full Moon on 28 August you arrive somewhere, in both an inner and outer sense.

Saturn’s shift into Virgo on 3 September brings you to a career peak; for the next three years you’ll be working flat out to maintain your position. But it’s likely to bring financial rewards. Four days later Pluto goes forwards in your sign, the beginning of the end of a cycle that has probably turned your relationships upside down. The eclipses on the 11th and 26th mark important turning points on your life journey.

April, May and June 2007

ou’re on a roll as this quarter opens, with Jupiter strong in your sign. You’re likely to be at your most optimistic and no wonder, for there are opportunities to expand in every direction. From 6 April to 6 August Jupiter’s in reverse, a period to consolidate the gains you’ve made since last November before going on your merry way again.

With Saturn going forwards and Mars completing the triangle in fellow Fire signs from 15 May, this is a quarter to hold out for and to pursue your vision, whatever form that takes.

Meanwhile there’s action on the domestic front, with Mars in residence here for the first six weeks of this quarter; while Uranus’ standstill in Pisces towards the end of June may bring a surprise visitor. On the inner level you may experience some kind of breakthrough.

At the end of May you enter a period when you may find yourself negotiating contracts or agreements with other people. If these are not finalised by mid–June, then they’ll probably have to be carried over to next quarter.

The Full Moon in your sign on 1 June may see you with something to celebrate, while the New Moon in opposite sign, Gemini is a cue from the cosmos to get off to a fresh start with a significant other.

January, February and March 2007

f all the signs you’re the one probably most likely to start the new year on an optimistic note: hardly surprising with Jupiter in Sagittarius, the sign that it rules, until the end of this year. It’s the beginning of a whole new cycle for you; over the next 12 months there’ll be many opportunities for you to expand, both in your personal and professional life. Saturn in fellow Fire sign, Leo ensures that you’ll have something to show for the risks you take.

Meanwhile you’re likely to find yourself busy flitting between jobs and people, with most of the action taking place on the domestic front. 14 February in particular is a day of heightened inspiration, but while your thoughts may be turned to the future, from then on you may in some sense have to retrace your steps where work or a relationship is concerned. But from 8 March you’ll be on your way again.

March is not exactly a quiet month, with plenty happening to keep you from getting bored, particularly around 3 and 19 March. You’ll have your hands full juggling all the opportunities around to go in new and exciting directions. ou can look forward to Jupiter, the planet that rules your sign, returning home to it on 24 November. A whole new cycle of growth and opportunity opens up for you; over the following 13 months you will enjoy many opportunities to spread your wings both personally and professionally.

Meanwhile in October the gathering of the planets in Scorpio gives you a chance to complete unfinished business, particularly with someone who may re—enter your life expressly for that purpose.

On 17 November Venus arrives in your sign, followed by Mars on 6 December; you may find yourself casting around for new friends/partners: people who share your love of adventure and optimism about the future. With so many planets in your sign, including long—term resident Pluto, you’re in a position to ring the changes on more than one front simultaneously. With Uranus going forwards from 20 November, these are likely to be on the inner as well as outer level.

Saturn going backwards at the beginning of December is a sign that you have some more work to do on a journey you’ve been on since July 2005, but in September 2007 you arrive at your destination. The Full Moon in opposite sign Gemini will make it clear to you with whom you’re likely to be travelling.

ith your ruling planet, Jupiter going forwards at the beginning of this quarter and Pluto going forwards in your sign at the end of it, there’s plenty happening on all fronts.

A lot of the action takes place in fellow Fire sign, Leo, stirring your desire for adventure in whatever form: it might be travel, it might be study — whatever, it’s something that fires your imagination. Someone to whom you’re close may have a part to play in what you decide to do.

With the action shifting to Virgo later in the quarter, you get busy on the career front, or whatever else takes you out into the world. It’s important you pay attention to this area of your life, with not one, but two New Moons falling in this sector of your solar chart. You might ask yourself if you’re fulfilling your true purpose in life: if not, it may be revealed to you at the Full Moon on 7 September.

With Pluto at a standstill at around the same time, you’re poised to embark on the next stage of a journey that began some years ago and that in a couple of years’ time will draw to a close.

y dint of sheer hard work, you’ve reached a point on a journey that began last July from which you can now go forwards; there’s more to do, but Saturn in fellow Fire sign, Leo will help to keep your nose to the grindstone. Meanwhile those of you born 15–19 December in particular may be processing changes in your personal life, from which you can also only go forwards.

Talking of change, where you live — not just your house, but also the neighbourhood — continues to be an area in which you may not know from one day to the next what’s happening. But this is exciting as well as bewildering and may also apply to your inner life. This holds particularly true around 22 May and 19 June, when you may make a discovery that will thrill the explorer in you.

In June you may find yourself on the road, as Mars in Leo whets your appetite for adventure and pastures new. Alternatively you may press on with a project dear to your heart, with which you may even make a name for yourself.

The New Moon on 27 May is a signal to make a new beginning in a relationship. The Full Moon in your sign on 11 June will shed light on where you’re going with it.

January, February and March 2006

2006 may take a little while to get up to speed for you, but chafe as you might, the emphasis on materialistic Earth is good for business. By the time Venus departs Capricorn, in early March, your finances should be sorted; while Mars leaving Taurus in mid–February signals the end of a particularly productive period of work.

You’re on a roll this quarter with your ruling planet, Jupiter, which peaks around 4 March, when opportunities for advancement may come out of the blue. But be advised that they’re likely to be more of a spiritual than a mundane nature. Thereafter you may find yourself processing the journey you’ve been on since the end of last year, before resuming it later in 2006.

By now you’re no doubt got used to changes in your private or inner life, especially if you were born in the first half of your sign, but the pace steps up from 9 February, when Mercury zips into this sector of your solar chart. This may translate into much coming and going at home for the rest of this quarter.

Watch out for the Full Moon/lunar eclipse on 14 March, particularly powerful for you because it’s in challenging alignment with Pluto in your sign, itself strong because it comes to a standstill towards the end of the month. It’s likely to reveal in no uncertain terms just where you’re headed.

October, November and December 2005

ou may find that the brilliant social life you’ve been leading recedes into the background as your ruling plant, Jupiter moves into one of the less visible sectors of your solar chart. Over the next 13 months you may find yourself drawn to more spiritual pursuits, which could open many doors for you.

Meanwhile towards the end of November you reach a turning point in a phase of your life you embarked on back in July. You’re likely to learn something important about yourself because the journey you’re currently on is as much one of self—discovery as anything else. Even in your everyday life you may find yourself having experiences which are anything but ordinary. This in turn may disrupt your private life, but you are restless and looking for excitement and what we go looking for, we tend to find.

A relationship with a significant other — or maybe two — will keep you busy for much of this quarter and if you’re not sure where it’s going, meditating on it could help you to find the answer, particularly between 14 November and 4 December.

This being the quarter in which your birthday falls, make a note of 1 December, when the New Moon in your sign marks the beginning of your personal new year.

July, August, September 2005

our sign is associated with travel and adventure in the broadest sense; you’re always on a journey of one kind or another. This is something you’re likely to be doing a lot of thinking about in July and August, particularly as from 16 July Saturn begins a two–year passage through fellow Fire sign, Leo. A course you embark on at this time, a writing project you undertake, even a trip to a long–haul destination will yield results that will turn out to be important for your standing in the world. On another level the first two months of this quarter will be highly social and between 23 July and 16 August you may run into someone you haven’t seen for a while.

On 2 September Pluto goes forwards in your sign; those of you with birthdays 12–17 December in particular reach another turning–point in your life. You’re likely to be aware of pressure to make changes in either your personal or professional life that may have been in the pipeline for some months, but can no longer be put off.

Other dates to note this quarter are 3 and 18 September: you’ll see where the bright ideas you have on the former are leading on the latter.

hatever you’re doing, you should be having fun as this second quarter of the year opens, with Mercury toing and froing in the leisure and pleasure sector of your sun ‘scope. You should also be able to proceed from 12 April with a project or a relationship that in some sense may have been on hold.

Your ruling planet, Jupiter continues to expand your social circle and advance both causes you hold dear and personal goals. This is particularly so from 5 June, when the planet of growth and opportunity begins travelling forwards again.

Meanwhile Uranus continues to ‘rock the boat’ by opening you up to change at the deepest level of your being. This may result in changes on the domestic front; if it does, they’re simply an expression of a deep restlessness and desire for your life to be different. This is likely to be particularly so from 1 May to 14 June.

ou’re on the crest of a wave as 2005 opens, buoyed up by no less than four planets in your sign as well as Jupiter, your ruling planet, at its most powerful as it slows down prior to making an about–turn in the heavens early in February. After all the activity and expansion that marked the end of last year, now’s the time to put your ideas on a more concrete footing and consolidate the gains you’ve made in the last few months.

By nature you’re restless, the wanderer of the zodiac, but those of you born at the end of November/beginning of December in particular may find yourselves prone to an inner restlessness that may drive changes at home and in your family. At some deep level of your being you’re seeking to break away from what you know in order to open yourself up to new experiences.

On a lighter note, some of these may be of a romantic nature; indeed, around 20 March an old flame may flare up again. Five days later the Full Moon, falling as it does in the proximity of Jupiter, is a time to celebrate with friends. What to celebrate? Well, it might be a shared success, a common goal achieved, but you won’t really need an excuse.

ou’ve been hosting Pluto, planet of transformation now for nearly 10 years: years that are likely to have seen big changes in your life. The interesting thing this quarter is that Mercury spends nearly two months in your sign, indicating that now you may find yourself facing the reality of the new job or relationship you’ve got and attending to a mass of detail. Detail is not always something you can be bothered with, so the likelihood is you’ll be in a fairly restless frame of mind. Around the end of November you may decide to backtrack on a course of action you’ve embarked on, but you’ll know which way you’re going from 20 December onwards.

October’s a very social month, when you can really make an impact on a group you belong to; and with your ruling planet, Jupiter now in compatible Libra for a whole year, you can look forward to making some important new contacts which will help you in your career.

Currently those of you born 23 — 26 November in particular are likely to have been experiencing breakthroughs on the inner level, which may have precipitated changes in your private life. What happens around 11 November represents a turning point from which you can go forwards in a process that began about 20 months ago. This quarter, with both planets going forwards again, you have the chance to implement changes that have been in the pipeline for the last few months, and really turn your relationships around.

As one of the mutable signs, you’re well adapted to cope with change, which is just as well, because there’s a lot of it going on in your life. Volatile Uranus is keeping those of you with early birthdays on edge which, among other things, may be making you difficult to live with, because you simply don’t know from one minute to the next what you’re going to be doing.

Meanwhile on 5 May Jupiter, the planet that rules your sign, comes to a halt before continuing its journey through the career sector of your solar chart. This is a time when opportunities abound for you, particularly if you were born 29 November – 1 December. So don’t delay, seize the day.

Meanwhile Jupiter, the planet that rules your sign, also comes to a stop, before changing into reverse gear for the rest of this quarter, giving you an opportunity to review the progress you’ve made since last August.

With the re–entry of Uranus into Pisces, those of you born 23–27 November in particular are likely to find yourselves resuming a journey that you began last year, one that could open up other worlds to you.
