It is common for someone choosing a crystal to detect a change in the temperature once they have it in their hand. Often the stone will become warm or very cool to the touch. This is because the energy within the crystal has been activated by your own personal energy - it is attuned to you.
Because stones have their own consciousness they sometimes decide when, where and how they wish to be used.
Crystals have been known to move or 'fall off' a body once their task is done. This is why a crystal may sometimes disappear, only to be found days later in the place you were looking for it. If you are in any doubt about choosing or using stones, either ask the stone itself or use the color of the stone and how that relates to the chakras or energy centres in your body. Be guided by your intuition.
Crystal healing with quartz
While sitting comfortably, place your quartz crystal in your left hand. Focus on the energy flowing between the crystal and your hand. Breathing deeply, imagine drawing the breath along your fingertips into your crystal. When you feel a connection (a temperature change or tingling) place your left hand over your heart.
You can now programme your crystal to assist with your own healing on any issue. Tell your crystal what its mission is, for example: "Cleanse my aura while I sleep to promote greater health, or allow joy and happiness to be expressed daily in my life".
Once you programme your crystal, it clears all previous programming and will continue on its mission until told otherwise.
If you want the crystal to work on someone else, then repeat this procedure holding the crystal in your right hand.
