A spirit guide is a non-physical entity that is usually seen as the higher self, an angel, a highly evolved being or a spirit of the deceased. Their main purpose is to help protect the individual, assist in spiritual development or even provide a source of inspiration.
Throughout the world, people believe that every individual has one or more spirit guides from birth and they remain with them throughout their life and their future endeavours. At the end of their life, they assist the soul in the crossover period.
We have spirits around us all the time. The expectation is that spirit communicates with us as we would on the telephone. On occasion it happens, but most often spirit communicates with us through our sense of sight, sound, smell or touch.
Spirit guides use simple, direct messages to remind us of our inner ability and how to find the answer in our heart and mind. The most important thing to remember is that spirit always speaks the truth. How does the Tarot work?
Good question! No one really knows. However you`ll find that the more you familiarise yourself with the basic meaning and symbolism of the cards and practise reading them, the more you`ll gain confidence in interpreting them for yourself and others. Over time you`ll develop your own intuitive relationship with the cards, so that they become a mirror reflecting the inner self.
How do I learn the Tarot?
There are lots of books on the Tarot, also workshops and courses. These will help you to absorb the basic divinatory meanings of the cards, but to develop your own personal style of interpretation, you`ll need to practise working with them. Practice makes perfect!
